I love Saturdays. My ideal Saturday includes a late family breakfast and otherwise no plans at all. Absolutely nothing, just being at home and doing whatever I want. Reading, daydreaming, updating my blog or watching films with my family. No fixed plans, no schedules and definitely no shopping trips if I can avoid them.
My family calls our usual late Saturday breakfast “Saturday brunch” but it’s nothing fancy, just a big, quite healthy breakfast style meal including porridge (oatmeal), bread, boiled eggs, cheese, juice, coffee and something extra like pancakes, waffles or breakfast muffins. I put everything casually on the table, use everyday plates and any napkins I happen to find and we eat and chat and it’s one of my favorite moments every week.
